1952年生于上海，毕业于上海戏剧学院，现为中国美术家协会会员、中国油画学会会员、上海市文史研究馆馆员、上海美术家协会常务理事、上海美术家协会油画艺术委员会主任、上海作家协会会员、上海市长宁区美术家协会主席、上海市崇明区美术家协会主席、上海大学美术学院教授，博士生导师。

Born in 1952 in Shanghai,  graduated from Shanghai Theatre Academy, he is currently a member of China Artists Association; a member of China Oil Painting Study Association; a librarian of Shanghai Museum of Literature and History; executive of Shanghai Artists Association; the director of Shanghai Artists Association Oil Painting Committee; a member of Shanghai Writers Association; the chairman of Shanghai Changning Artists Association; the chairman of the Shanghai Chongming Artists Association; a professor and Ph.D. supervisor at the Fine Arts Academy of Shanghai University.
