我和建国相知相识那么多年，有着较深的交往和感情。他读央美附中，去北大荒，后上南京师范大学美术系硕士研究生，我们从没中断过联系。尤其是他担任《江苏画刊》编辑，后又担任主编、社长。编辑事务和绘画他都从没放弃，而且几十年如一日坚守下来，两者都取得了骄人的成就，实属不易。这两方面是相辅相成的，他的眼界不断开阔，对他的绘画有很大的促进作用。
Knowing Jianguo for so many years, we have a pretty deep connection and relationship. We never lost contact even when he went to the Fine Arts School Affiliated to China Central Academy, to the plains in the north, or when he attended the Fine Arts Major of Nanjing Normal University to pursue a Master's Degree. Especially when he worked as the editor of Jiangsu Pictorial, then escalate to the chief editor and president. He never gave up editing works or painting and stuck to it for decades as if its just a day. In both areas, he achieves great success, which is not easy. These two aspects intergrow with each other, while his eye-sight opens up, it encourages him to create better paintings.

Jianguo's oil painting piece "Body" is a series of works with multiple groups. They are beautiful but concealing, different from the popular body paintings, his works contain a sense of sorrow and depression, which coincide with his personal experience that is hidden deep in the heart.
